Health Care Costs

Published:  April 12, 2019

If you are enrolled in one of the County of Sonoma’s health care plans, June 1 is the beginning of the new plan year. There have been increases to many of the plan’s costs that will be reflected in the May 31, 2019 monthly pension payment. As always, you pay for your share of the monthly health care premium in advance.

If you don’t know if there was a change in your health care cost, please review the Annual Enrollment Retiree Benefits Guide that was mailed to you by the County of Sonoma Human Resources Department. You may view it online at http://sonomacounty.ca.gov/HR/Benefits/Annual-Enrollment/. Look for the Retiree section towards the bottom of the page to find the link to the “2019-2020 Retiree Benefits Guide”.

The County’s health care advocate, CareCounsel, may also be reached at 888-227-3334 with questions.
