SCERA is pleased to share the following updates regarding the SCERA Board of Retirement.
The election for the 2nd Trustee Position was not held for the term ending December 31, 2025. When the nomination period closed on October 23, 2025, only one candidate, Travis Balzarini, had been nominated. As a result, on December 16, 2025, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors directed that no election be conducted and confirmed Mr. Balzarini for a new term beginning January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028.
In addition, on November 4, 2025, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approved the reappointment of Bob Williamson to the 5th Trustee Position on the Board. Mr. Williamson’s new term will also begin January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028.
