Disability Committee Meeting

I.  MINUTES APPROVAL

Approval of the August 18, 2025, Minutes.

Recommendation: Approve Minutes

The Disability Committee will move into Executive Session and close the meeting to all attendees who are not necessary for the determination of a disability retirement or consideration of a public employee performance evaluation. Those in person attendees will physically exit the Board room and attendees on Zoom will be placed in a waiting room, with the Board room camera and microphone turned off so Zoom attendees will neither hear not see the meeting. All in person and Zoom attendees will be re-admitted to the meeting when the Committee returns to open session.

II.  EXECUTIVE SESSION

Meeting closed pursuant to Government Code section 54957(b) to consider the employment status and evaluation of performance of a SCERA member or members as concerns eligibility for disability retirement or reinstatement to active membership.

A.  Applications for Committee Action:

1.  FREDERICH C LAMBERT, general member who retired effective 03/21/2023 with a service retirement. On 09/02/25, Mr. Lambert submitted a request that his retirement be suspended and that he be reinstated per Government Code section 31680.4. He has been offered the position of Psychiatric Nurse with the County of Sonoma.

B.  Discussion:

Review the pending disability applications on December 2025 Disability Report.

The Disability Committee will move out of Executive Session and reopen the meeting to all Zoom attendees who were locked out during the closed session period.

III.  EXECUTIVE SESSION REPORT OUT - OPEN SESSION

A report will be given to the public on the Disability Committee’s recommendations for the above items.

IV.  GENERAL DISCUSSION MATTERS

Opportunity to advise the Disability Committee of new matters and for Committee members to ask questions for clarification, provide information to staff, request staff to report back on a matter, or to direct staff to place a matter on a subsequent agenda.

V.  PUBLIC COMMENT

Opportunity for public comment on non-agenda items within the jurisdiction of the Disability Committee.

VI.  NOTICE OF NEXT MEETING

Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. in the SCERA Board Room located at 433 Aviation Boulevard, Suite 100 in Santa Rosa, CA, and facilitated through Zoom.
